I’m not usually one for motivational stuff, but it seems to me that this is something worth remembering, IF you want to take the Large Number / Soon Date route to your Life’s Purpose:
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit
… because things usually DO get worse before they get better!
It seems, an unfortunate FACT of life š
Do you have any “it got worse … but, then it did get better” stories in your personal financial journey, so far? If so, this would be a GREAT place to share them!
Great video, thanks for sharing this!
Actually my feelings with current financial crisis looking from here in Finland was that things really were worst before they got better. They didn’t actually get any worse from last winter. And man it was difficult to invest in that time but it really has paid off.
Great post and reminder Adrian, I wholeheartedly agree. At every point in my life that I made MAJOR progress, success, or any big leap forward, I hit my hardest wall one half step just before it. It’s almost as if we are ‘awarded’ for picking ourselves up and marching forward with our goals when times are the toughest š
@ Kohti – From your blog (thank goodness for Google Translate!), I see that you have been investing in stocks … I’m sure that in Finland, like the US and other countries, the stock market has rebounded strongly off its lows.
@ Scott – In that case may there be many more ‘awards’ in your future (preferably without the half-step-before-pain) š
